Kia Ora! ...We are the Fuller Family!

Power Plant is an Award-Winning organic store and plant based eatery in the heart of the Whangarei community.  We have the largest selection of vegan and gluten- free food in Whangarei.  We are a Family owned and operated business, specialising in nourishing and delicious food and beverages.

We are The Fuller Family - a husband, wife and daughter team - Mark, Angela and Jasmine respectively. We have been on a health journey since 2013 when we all went vegan along with other family members and friends . We also reduced the amount of gluten, and alcohol in our diet and filled our plates with organic, colourful, local produce. There were many documentaries, books and public figures that inspired this shift in our lifestyle habits. We all felt a positive sense of lightness, clarity and purpose, which is why we decided to open our first 'bricks and mortar' food establishment in 2017 - Power Plant Wholefood and Organic Store, in our town of Whangarei, New Zealand. After a few Summers of 'testing the waters' at market stalls selling juices, smoothies, home-made ice creams and barbequed corn cobs,  we knew we worked well as a team and that our customers LOVED what we had to offer... this is what sparked our dream to manifest our own cafe!

Our store is situated in the 'Civic Arcade', a boutique mall built in the 1980's, right in the heart of the Whangarei CBD. We have plenty of parking at the rear of the arcade, in the Forum North Carpark. Native timber lines the ceilings and white pebbles pave the flooring of this quaint arcade, we are so happy to call home.

We have shelves brimming with local, organic, gourmet food and lifestyle items, all aimed at improving the health and wellness of our customers. You can wander through our store and pick up some specialty items for your own home cooking, sit and enjoy our inspiring and relaxing atmosphere while devouring our luscious food. All of the dishes that come out of our kitchen are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, refined-sugar free, mostly organic and often raw. We lace all our food with love and relish in the fact that you will feel comforted, nourished and happier for visiting our store and eatery.

We, along with our passionate and talented team, are honoured to serve the people of our community and those travelling through this area, with the most inspiring and satisfying experience.
